On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Hawaii Floriculture & Nursery Association (HFNA), we’d like to invite you to join us in Hilo on Thursday, October 6th for our Import Replacement Educational Growers’ Seminar that will be held at the USDA Daniel K. Inouye Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center (PBARC).
Researchers from USDA ARS PBARC, UH-Manoa CTAHR, and UH-Hilo will present new cultivars from the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Tropical Agriculture (CTAHR) along with updates on current research projects. In the afternoon we will offer a tour of cooperators’ nurseries and research facilities to view firsthand some of the new varieties and projects discussed in the seminar.
The schedule of events along with registration information is attached for your reference. There is no cost to attend the HFNA seminar; however, there is a small charge for a bento lunch and cold (or hot) drink.
As HFNA is hosting our import replacement seminar in conjunction with the Crop Production Services (CPS) educational seminar on Friday, October 7th, at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, they have offered their discounted hotel rates at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel for HFNA seminar attendees as well. We are also sending you the CPS seminar information and registration form so you can register for both events.
COME TO HILO! Join HFNA & CPS for critical updates for the Hawaii Floriculture Industry!
This project is sponsored by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture and the Hawaii County Department of Research & Development.
Please have your registration forms in no later than Monday, October 3rd.
Feel free to pass this invitation on to all those you feel will be interested in attending; you may contact me with any questions you may have.
