The Hawaii Department of Agriculture is asking for assistance in identifying and acquiring a collection site on Hawaii Island, Maui, Molokai, and Kauai. The Hawaii Department of Agriculture (HDOA) announced on Monday, July 11, 2023, the Pesticide Disposal Program (PDP). This program will be available on Hawaii Island, Maui, Molokai, Oahu, and Kauai. Currently, the program is only running on Oahu. More information will become available for the neighboring islands.

 

This program provides FREE assistance to commercial entities seeking to dispose of canceled, suspended, unwanted, or unlabeled pesticides. EnviroServices & Training Center, HDOA’s contractor, will ensure the proper handling and disposal of pesticide waste. They will adhere to strict guidelines and industry best practices to ensure that every step of the disposal process is conducted safely and responsibly.

 

Please note that this is a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL program designed to help you safely dispose of canceled, suspended, unwanted, and unlabeled pesticides from commercial applicators. There is no catch, no red tape; your name and the materials you bring in will not be disclosed. NO ENFORCEMENT ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.
